Balatonföldvár has been awarded several times for Floral City on the South Balaton. This is mainly due to the well-maintained public facilities and to the inhabitants of the city who turn their homes into a sea of flowers every year. Similarly, all public spaces are beautifully planted and thus form a summer eye candy for flower lovers. In recent years, was built very much in Balatonföldvár. Of course Balatonföldvár has more than just flowers to offer. Balatonföldvár is one of the larger towns on the southern shore of Lake Balaton and boasts 3 well-kept recreational beaches. As for the good food and sustenance, you come here also not too short. Several good to very good restaurants (Étterem / Vendéglö – as it is called in Hungarian) wait on the guests.
For art lovers, there is also something here. In the high season every Friday night is hosted directly to the waterfalls in the city center of Balatonföldvár a concert of local youth marching band.
For young people in Balatonföldvár is also something available. From the Disco to the manicured Pub (highly recommended pub-Lik) you can spend the evening leisurely with friends. More bars and restaurants are located right on the road to Lake Balaton. And who would still jump in Lake Balaton in the evening can also do it naturally.
