Ungarischer GulaschAt the top of every vacationer in Hungary is of course the real Hungarian goulash.
Most are of the opinion that this is automatically always very spicy. But this is a mistake. The Hungarians cook the goulash normal (not so spicy) and then give the guest a chance with strong bell pepper (green, long) or with chili paste to sharpen the goulash as desired. Another typical Hungarian dishes are Lángos and Palacsinta. Palacsinta (Crepes as the French would say) you get with various delicious fillings (mostly sweet). The Lángos is a flatbread dough baked in oil and then can be ordered with different toppings. Most famous is the Lángos with sour cream and cheese (Sajtos Tejfölös)

Echte ungarische KolbászAnother popular dish (a very very oily) is the Hungarian Kolbasz. A large, very greasy, but also very spicy pork sausage. There is an alternative also available. The blood sausage and the liver sausage. The Kolbasz is best known and more typical of Hungary. Try it! Best always eat with bread and mustard!

And for dessert, you should try Somlói galuska. Although it is an absolute bomb of calories but if they are well cooked an absolute pleasure.

KürdöskalácsA sweets should be mentioned. The Kürdöskalács. Over a charcoal fire or gas burner tube cake baked from dough which can be ordered after the completion with various toppings. Try the Kürdöskalács with cinnamon (Fahéjos). You will like it!

Tip: Enjoy the Kürdöskalács always warm and fresh. If it is a few hours old, the taste is not as good as with fresh.
