In the immediate vicinity of Lake Balaton, you will find various thermal baths that have been renewed or built up mainly by European standards.
Thermal baths in Hungary means: warm to hot mineral water for almost all kind of diseases.
The most famous spa of Hungary is in Hévíz. Hévíz is located near the town of Keszthely on the southwestern shore of Lake Balaton.
Another thermal bath was renewed and expanded in recent years. It is the Spa of the Zalakaros. It also lies on the southwestern shore of Lake Balaton. Here in the hot springs of Zalakaros one comes not only as a spa guest at his expense. There is a spa, sauna, thermal pool, outdoor pools, swimming pools and much more, which you can use as a regular tourist.
The spa is of course apart from the rest spa visitors.
Other thermal baths nearby are Igal and Csisztapuszta.
